The Framework Series is a three-piece collective within “A Roaring 20’s” that explores the architecture of Black excellence through labor, self-confrontation, and legacy. Together, the works form a visual blueprint of the modern Black man’s climb—one rooted in intention, resilience, and self-knowledge.

The first image, Ground Work, speaks to the unseen labor required to build a lasting foundation. Set against the backdrop of Harlem brownstones built by hand, brick by brick it reflects discipline, patience, and the early stages of ascent. With golden tones echo histories of craftsmanship and ownership. This piece honors the quiet preparation and generational effort that precede visibility, reminding us that every rise is supported by what was carefully built beneath it.
